Michigan's Upper Peninsula
Michigan's Upper Peninsula Photo Safari
Dates to be determined for our 2016 SafariBook the Michigan 2016 Safari
Michigan's Upper Peninsula without a doubt offers some of the most diverse, dramatic photography to be found anywhere in North America. From the historic lighthouses and limitless shorelines of the inland seas known as the Great Lakes we'll capture the explosion of colors as fall paints the beautiful hardwood forests of the U. P. You'll also have ample opportunity to photograph the waterfalls and countless small lake that abound in the area.
Our adventure will be centered in the eastern portion of the U. P. in the lakeside community of Paradise Michigan a short drive from Whitefish Point, famous for its 1860' era lighthouse, Coast Guard station and beautiful sand dunes. We'll also explore nearby Tahquamenon State Park, the largest state park in Michigan and the Upper and Lower Tahquamenon Falls. The safari will include journeys to several other lighthouses in the area. And don't worry there will be plenty of time to adventure off on your own to visit the Maritime Museum at Whitefish Point with its numerous displays and artifacts from ships lost in the area including the largest ship to go down in the Great lakes, the Edmund Fitzgerald.
This Michigan's Upper Peninsula adventure offers something for every skill level and interest. No photographer should be without a few images of this amazing part of the country.
